 661 MINI DOWHILL RACE – Forest of Dean

Mini downhill is the new fun exciting way to race downhill.
A short course which makes for intense racing and a good laugh, topped off with some great prizes.

Chris Roberts welcome's you to the Forest of Dean for the 661 Mini Downhill.

The forest has a long list of famous riders who started riding here back in the day.
Its now a breding ground for local new talent that will suprise quite a few with thier race times.

Lots of good tracks have sprung up over the last few years but you get to race on the best of these. Its a good mix from swooping corners, roots & rocks sections but everyone will have fun riding.    

This makes the racing really intense where every single second counts.

Riders will be competing against the clock to get the fastest time.
Two timed runs the winner is the rider with fastest time.

Forest of Dean is a great place for all types of mountain bikers for XC & DH.

" These Mini Downhill races are designed for people who ride at the Forest of Dean but have never raced so we have brought the race to you”

The event is open to any one to try downhill. The course is fun and following to ride but a real challenge to ride flat out on the limit.

Forest of Dean is the place for a big crowd of people to watch you race.

Important Notice - Car Parking is on the forest road.
The Foresty Commison will be charging everyone £3 per car/van. There is a pay and display ticket machine in the main car park - Parking Fines will be issued by the Forestry Commsion to anyone not buying a ticket.

You can collect your number board on Saturday to save time on Sunday morning.

Saturday 2pm to 5pm
Sunday 8.30am to 10.00am

You must sign on and collect your number board before 10am
Full Face Helemts must be worn for racing.

Race categories - No licence required to race

Juvenile Age 12-14

Pro-Open – Age 17+ for any experienced racers, Pro, semi pro or any one who wants the challenge of this intense type of racing. - No licence required to race

The idea for mini downhill is to have cheap to enter fun racing, becuase the courses we use are only short there is no need for any uplift for these races to keep the costs low.

Extreme Medics are there to take care of anyone who tries just a little bit to hard!

CYCLE SPORT CAN BE DANGEROUS

Despite the organisers taking all reasonable precautions, unavoidable accidents can happen.
Stand in sensible places, pay attention to the Marshals at all times and never cross the course.
Please comply with all instructions of marshals and notices and remain in permitted areas only.
